Fact: You need an email list for your business. And it should be paying you.

Your business (a.k.a. You), regardless of what you are doing (Even if you run a Cat Herding Service), needs you to stay in contact with your people. Social media is fine for initial contact, but as you may know, social profiles are yanked every single day, and all your followers go poof when that occurs. That “poof” can be so loud, it feels like a gut punch. All your posting and strategy and huggy-feely is gone in an instant.

I don’t need to tell you how much that sucks. I’ve heard the cats don’t like it either.

Having an email list is great, but it’s only half the battle. (Am I the only one who went “G.I. Jooooeeee!” in my head? I guess my GenX is showing, sorry not sorry…)

The OTHER half is, “What do I write? What do I sell? How can my list PAY me so I can go chill in Costa Rica?” All valid questions!
